Abstract

Abstract Building upon the earlier inventories in Laures ( Kirishitan bunko . A manual of books and documents on the early Christian mission in Japan, 1957) and Toyoshima ( Kirishitan to shuppan, 2013), the hand-list provides an up-to-date overview of extant prints from the Jesuit mission press in Japan, as well as related materials. The list also includes some non-Jesuit prints from Manila, Mexico, and Rome, as well as a number of manuscript sources. The known copies of each title (as of early 2024) and their current whereabouts are listed, and, wherever possible, URLs of digitized copies are provided. For more recent additions to the corpus, references to relevant literature are also included.
