Abstract
The present thesis aims to explore the Burnout Syndrome in teachers of the San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca University. It is a quantitative study of descriptive and exploratory type. The population of the present study is constituted by 29 university professors of the Psychology and Pedagogy career. The Burnout Syndrome and its dimensions were measured by means of the Burnout Inventory of Maslach, M.B.I., the Spanish version adapted from Seisdedos (1997) was used. The results of the present investigation indicate that there are no significant differences between men and women in terms of the dimensions of Burnout (Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization and Personal Development).
